Islam

I was born in Egypt and lived for some time as a child and as a young man in North African Countries. Islam as a religion does not bother me at all, Muslims do not bother me either. The problem is that when Muslims move into Christendom, then they quite often do cause a problem to their host community. The UK has many immigrant groups, the largest is probably the Muslim one. None of the other immigrant groups seem to cause anything approaching the level of disturbance to the native community as do the Muslims. Our idiot Governments and councils bend over backwards to pander to Muslims susceptibilities, why? Immigrants to any country should sit down , shut up and try to conform. If Muslims do not like people drinking from piggy mugs tough, if they do not like Christmas , tough, they can always leave.
Multiculturalism is sheer hogwash, if you emigrate to another country you accept the culture you do not seek to bend the ways of your hosts to your whims. We have foolish Christan clergy pandering to Islam; Christianity is the only correct way to god, the clergy should stand up and say so. Islam just does not fit easily into a society which still has it's basis in the Christian ethic. If an immigrant community does not likesomething and riots then the police should descend upon them in full force in order that the rioters learn the hard way what is , and what is not acceptable behaviour. While all are entitled to worship god in any manner they please, to any rational being Islam can only be regarded as a facile and puerile religion, one has only to read the Koran to know that Islam is a religion best suited to the ignorant tribesman. Islam was dreamed up by an ignorant and illiterate camel herder with a serious personality disorder , this is quite obvious from both the Koran and the Hadiths, no person of education and intellect could possibly find the religion other than risible
.

The EU

I have long been in favour of the EU. It seesm to me that Europe needs to have a united approach to world affairs. Where I have a problem with the EU is in it's interference in the strictly internal affairs of the member states. To me it has no locus int telling member states what their ice cream should be made of or tings of that nature. My othere problem with the EU is the Common Fisheries Policy which was cobbled together very quickly immediately prior to the UK joining what was then the Common Market, Europe knew very well that Britain and Ireland between them controlled 75% of euorpes Atlantic fishery. To England which is the UK writ large , fishing was a matter of little consequence; in order to join the UK threw away the fishing industry. To Scotland which controls about one third of the european fishing waters in the North Atlantic, fishing is vital, a major industry for our small country. The CFP has been a total diaster for the Scottish Fishing Industry.
